News: USCIS Restores Premium H-1B Processing

Jul 16, 2015 | 0 comments

We have good news to report! USCIS has restored premium processing for H-1B holders requesting an extensions.

Previously, USCIS froze premium processing due to an influx of new H-4 work authorization petitions caused by a recent policy change. The suspension started in late May and was scheduled to last until July 27.  After re-evaluating their workload, the USCIS has lifted the premium freeze early.

Next Steps:

  • If you have an H-1B extension petition currently pending with the USCIS, your immigration attorney can upgrade the submission to include premium processing.
  • This means the USCIS will process the petition within 15 days of the upgraded receipt.
  • Please note, the USCIS will only accept the new I-907 form for premium processing, so make sure your attorney uses the updated form.

Please contact Visawolf if you have any questions about premium visa processing or need help submitting the upgrade.  We are here to help you with all your visa needs.
