Permanent Residency
Permanent visas are also called immigrant visas, or permanent residency (USCIS Form I-551). Permanent Residency allows the immigrant to live and work in the US indefinitely. The US grants a permanent resident card (also known as a “green card”,) to people who are permanent residents. Permanent visas have no expiration date.
There are different approches to optaining Permanent Residency, based on the circumstances. Many are sponsored by an employer. Wealth individuals who seek to invest in the U.S. have their own visa. And of course thousands of individuals and families seek to immigrate to America each year.
